Advocacy

NANS strives to continually be engaged in advocacy activities that help promote the field of Neuromodulation. Through our Advocacy Committee and partner organizations, NANS reviews and works on programs and projects related to promoting the field of Neuromodulation. In addition, NANS collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure that patients have satisfactory access to  Neuromodulation therapies as a treatment option and that the therapy is used effectively and appropriately. The group also maintains liason with other key stakeholders, including: industry, government institutions and other interested/related parties to advocate for Neuromodulation as a treatment modality.

NANS also collaborates with other similar organizations to achieve advocacy goals. The Neuromodulation Therapy Access Coalition (NTAC) is a national coalition initiated by leading interventional medical professional societies to ensure appropriate access to neuromodulation therapies through advocacy, quality initiatives, and public education.

PR/Media
NANS has also started a PR effort both independently and in collaboration with other specialty societies. Together, we are working on publicizing news articles and events that are taking place within the field of Neuromodulation.

PR also plays a significant role in our advocacy efforts on behalf of patients and pratitioners alike. Currently, NANS is developing an expanded page featuring news articles and other features where Neuromodulation is the primary focus. NANS encourages its members to submit articles of interest as well as any success stories from patients who have benefitted from this therapy.
