​Neuromodulation Cadaver Course for Neurosurgery and Neurology Residents and Fellows

Applications are closed for the hands-on pre-conference cadaver course for neurosurgery and neurology residents and fellows, held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the NANS 2025 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fl. 


Course Information
Applications have closed for the popular hands-on NANS Neurosurgery and Neurology Residents and Fellows Cadaver Lab. Notifications will be sent out in early October. This one-day course will be held prior to the 2025 NANS Annual Meeting on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the AdventHealth Nicholson Center in Orlando, FL. Notifications will be sent to applicants in early October regarding whether they have been accepted to the course. 

This comprehensive course combines didactic lectures with hands-on experiential learning and provides a fundamental platform of multidisciplinary networking opportunities. 

​Topics include deep brain stimulation for movement disorder and epilepsy, responsive neurostimulation and vagus nerve stimulation for epilepsy, as well as other approved clinical applications of neuromodulation strategies. Don't miss the chance to interact with expert faculty in the field of neurosurgery and neuromodulation.

*Please note that this course is non-CME.

Who should apply?
Eligible applicants include:
  • Residents and fellows in neurosurgery and neurology
  • PGY-3 and PGY-4 neurology residents
  • Members of NANS in good standing (Visit NANS Membership for more information about NANS trainee membership)
How do I apply?
Applicants must complete an online application. Applications were due Monday, September 9, 2024. 
Notifications will be sent out via email to applicants by early October.
If accepted NANS will provide:
  • $500 travel stipend to help offset the participant's travel and ground transportation (contingent upon completion of the one-day Neurosurgery and Neurology Cadaver Course in Orlando, FL)
  • Two night's hotel stay (Wednesday, January 29 and Thursday, January 30, 2025) at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts (room and tax included)
  • Transportation between the AdventHealth Nicholson Center and the Walt Disney Work Swan & Dolphin Resorts
If accepted, course participants must:
  • Register for this pre-conference course and pay the course registration fee of $300.
    (Please note: this course fee only applies to the 2025 NANS Neuromodulation Cadaver Course for Neurosurgery Neurology Residents and Fellows. If you would like to attend the main 2025  NANS Annual Meeting at Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts, then a separate registration fee is required.) ​
  • Become a member of NANS
  • Book their hotel rooms at Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts
  • Attend the full one-day course (the travel stipend is contingent on full course attendance)
