NANS, joined by 11 leading medical societies, has sent a letter to Aetna urging the insurer to align its Medicare Advantage coverage policies for Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS) with the existing National Coverage Determination (NCD 160.7). Clinicians continue to report delays and denials for this non-opioid therapy, despite its approval under traditional Medicare.
The letter calls on Aetna to ensure fair, timely access to care for all Medicare beneficiaries. NANS continues to lead efforts to reduce administrative barriers and expand patient access to neuromodulation. Click the button to read the full letter.
