Registration Information​​

To attend Neural Interfaces, you must register in person at the Registration Desk located on the first floor of the Crystal Gateway Marriott. Registration hours are as follows:
  • Wednesday, June 11               4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Thursday, June 12                   6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday, June 13                           6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Saturday, June 14                     6:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Be Aware!
There may be websites claiming to offer registration and housing services for Neural Interfaces that are not affiliated with NANS and do not offer any services on our behalf. Registration and housing should only be accessed from the NANS website.

​NANS Member Registration

To be eligible for the member rates your membership must be valid the day you register.  If you want to become a member, to take advantage of the discounted fees, you must do so before you register.

Existing Members - Make sure to log into your NANS account prior to registering, to ensure you receive the membership rate.

New Members - If you would like to become a NANS member, please allow 1 business day for the system to process your membership request before registering. For Early Career and Trainee members, please allow up to 3 business days.

INS Members - INS members are eligible for the NANS member discount. Please contact the registration team at [email protected] for assistance.

Professional Category
This category is for:
  • ​Physicians with advanced degrees in medicine relevant to neuromodulation, including MD, DO, and MBBS.
  • Engineers or scientists/researchers at an academic institution or equivalent who are not employed in a clinical practice setting.
  • Healthcare professionals who care for patients as Advanced Practice Providers or professionals in Allied Health (i.e., anesthesiologist assistant or physician assistant) in a clinical practice setting or academic institution.
  • Office practice administrators/managers and other clinical staff responsible for practice management activities in a clinical practice setting or academic institution.
Industry/Investor Category
  • Employees of companies that manufacture and sell devices, pharmaceuticals, and related medical products.  
  • Individuals or employees of companies that provide funding to early-stage startups or high-growth companies or advise on investments in the field of neuromodulation
Trainees (Fellows, Residents, Students) Category
This category is open to Fellows, Residents, and Students currently enrolled in school, or in a training program that awards doctoral degrees or provides postdoctoral training.

Trainee Non-Member - You must email [email protected] proof of status within two weeks of registering to receive the discounted registration fee.

 One of the following must be emailed:
  • Student/Resident ID that has an expiration date. If your Student/Resident ID does not have an expiration date on it, you may upload a copy of your letter of acceptance from your educational institution or Resident program. 
       OR
  • A dated letter from your institution on letterhead, signed by an advisor or department head showing that you are currently enrolled as a student, employed as a resident, or have a fellowship.

Trainee Member – Your NANS membership type will be verified to confirm your status as a Trainee. If your NANS membership type is not Trainee, your registration will be changed to reflect your membership and a balance due will show on your account.
What is included in the registration fee?
  • Access to all educational sessions (Thu-Sat)
  • Poster session and reception (Thu-Fri)
  • Breakfast each morning (Thu-Sat)
  • Access to exhibit tables/industry

Registration Changes/Cancellations

  • Name changes and substitutions are not permitted.
  • Registration fees are refundable, minus a $50 processing fee, if the cancellation request is received by NANS Registration in writing at [email protected] by May 12, 2025. After this date registration fees are non-refundable, and no refund or credit will be provided.
  • If an attendee “no-show” for the meeting no refund or credit of the registration fee will be provided.
  • Membership fees are non-refundable.

Hotel Information​​

​Crystal Gateway Marriott is the official hotel and located at 1700 Richmond Highway, Arlington, VA 22202.

The discounted room block has now closed; however, rooms at the Crystal Gateway Marriott may still be available.

Hotel Changes/Cancellations

​Reservations must be cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival date to avoid cancellation penalty of one night room charge plus tax. Changes to existing reservations can be made at any time.

Travel Information​​

Airport Information

There will be a military parade in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, June 14, which may affect your flight if you're departing from DCA or impact your estimated travel time if you're driving.
​

​​Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
 is located 2 miles away from the hotel (approx. 8-minute drive). 

Please note that there are multiple Marriott properties in the Crystal City area. To avoid any confusion, be sure to double-check the hotel name and address when using rideshare apps, GPS, or map directions.

Airport Shuttle
  • The Crystal Gateway Marriott provides a complimentary shuttle to/from the airport every 30 minutes from 5:00 AM – 12:00 AM, with the last shuttle leaving the hotel at 11:30 PM.
  • To take the shuttle from the airport to the hotel, go to either in Terminal A, lower level (Arrivals), at Door # 4 or Door #7 or Terminal B in the lower level (Departure).
  • Stand by the Hotel Shuttle Sign.
  • The shuttle stops at the Courtyard Hotel, Crystal City Marriott and Crystal Gateway Marriott.

Metrorail
The DC Metrorail system has a station connected to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, with a stop in a 10-minute walk of the Crystal Gateway Marriott.
  • Access the Airport Metrorail station via the pedestrian bridge from the concourse level of Terminal 2. The station is fully accessible via elevators.
  • Metrorail farecards may be purchased at machines located at all entrances to the Airport Metrorail station.
  • Take the blue line to Crystal City Metro Station.
  • Walk to the Crystal Gateway Marriott, either below ground or at street level.​

Taxis and ride share (Lyft & Uber) are also available at the airport. 

Parking Information

Parking is available at the Crystal Gateway Marriott.

On-Site Parking - Hourly: $20.00, Daily: $50.00

Long Term Parking - Valet: Daily: $55.00

Garage Vehicle Height Clearance is 6'.

Visa Information

Attendees from outside the United States may need to apply for a visa at the American Embassy, Consulate, or other visa issuing office in your country of origin. Please begin your visa application process as soon as possible. Some countries take several months to process applications. Go to the U.S. Department of State website for information on obtaining your visa.

For visa purposes, if you require a Letter of Invitation from NANS for your visa application please email Molly Pusateri your name, company and mailing address and a personalized letter will be sent to you. 

Please note: Invitation letters imply no obligation by the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) to cover registration fees, accommodations, travel expenses, or any other costs associated with participation in this meeting. NANS is not able to contact U.S. Embassies or Consulates on behalf of any individual attempting to enter the United States to attend the meeting
