Why l love what I do
I strive to improve patients’ quality of life. I enjoy deep brain stimulation and spinal cord stimulation and other functional procedures for their ability to restore a quality of life to patients who often have been suffering for many years before coming to me.

How I became interested in neuromodulation
My senior year of high school I saw a video of a patient with DBS. I had never seen anything make such a difference in someone’s quality of life and knew that’s what I wanted to do.

I’m a NANS member because
I enjoy NANS for their commitment to keeping members up to date with the latest technology and indications for use while still striving to make sure there is a standard of care by individuals performing the procedures.

My favorite book

My favorite musician

Advice to those new to the field
There is no such thing as work/life balance only work life integration. One will always take precedence but learn how to let them take turns. You can’t take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself.
