New! My Own Worst Complications for Fellows and Early Career Neuromodulators


The 2024 NANS Scientific Program Committee encourages submissions of medically challenging cases to be considered for presentation at the 2024 NANS Annual Meeting in Las Vegas on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in the My Own Worst Complications for Fellows and Early Career Neuromodulators session from 10:00–11:30 AM. Selected applicants will have the opportunity to present their own cases at the podium or have the moderators present their case and conduct discussions on the case.

DEADLINE:  October 19, 2023, 1:00 PM CDT
Eligibility
  • Must be a member of NANS in good standing
  • Must be a fellow or early career neuromodulator (three years after fellowship) in pain medicine or neurosurgery field
Submission Requirements
Please DO NOT include images or tables/graphs during this submission process. 

HIPPA Compliance: All individually identifiable health information regarding a patient must be sufficiently edited or modified to ensure HIPPA compliance.

The text should be organized into the following section headings as follows:
  • Brief Case Description
  • Complication(s)
  • Challenge in Treatment
  • Resolution of Complication
Review and Selection Process
Up to three cases will be selected for the My Own Worst Complications for Fellows and Early Career session. All submissions will be independently reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee. All submissions will be independently reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee.
  • Novelty and timeliness of the topic
  • Pertinence to the interest of NANS membership
  • Overall impact and quality
 
Notifications will be sent out by early November.
